Source:     Author:     Posted: 11-07-2016    Views:

Inflatable pools don't take up much yard space and provide hours of fun. Although inflatable pools aren't deep, they still need to be cleaned on a regular basis. Cleaning an inflatable pool keeps bacteria from growing in the pool. The cleaning can be done effectively and inexpensively. There are something you should do to keep inflatable pool clean.

Draining the Pool. Both bacteria and algae grow in stagnant water. After the children are done playing in the kid pools each day, you must drain the water out of the pool. This must be done if no chemicals are going to be used to keep the bacteria at bay. Fresh water can be used to refill the pool each day the children want to play in the kid pools.

Killing Bacteria. If parents want to conserve water, they can keep the kid pools filled for up to two months by using chemicals to kill the bacteria and algae. After filling the kid pools  for the first time, 3/4 cup of borax must be added and stirred into the water. Two tbsp. of Dichlor powder (sold at pool stores) needs to be added to the water on a daily basis as well. Do this at the end of the day when the children have finished playing in the pool. Finally, add 2 1/2 tsp. of a poly algaecide every other week.

Covering the Pool. Leaves and debris fall into a kid pools at night, and when children are not actively playing in it. A pool cover should be used to cover the pool when the kid pools is not in use. If you don't wish to purchase a pool cover, a cheap plastic tarp works just as well. This helps keep your kid pools clean in between drainings.

Bathroom Mishaps. Young children, especially those that are potty training, can have accidents in the kid pool. Fecal matter is serious business, and children should be removed from the pool immediately after a bowel movement has been made. Drain the water, and scrub the inside of the kid  pool with 3 cups of bleach. Rinse the pool thoroughly before refilling it.
