Inflatable castles in the industry are also known as inflatable bounce houses, inflatable moonwalks, inflatable jumpers, and inflatable bouncy castles. John Scurlock first created inflatable castlesin 1959. He was actually experimenting with inflatable tennis court covers when he noticed that his employees liked jumping on the covers. He founded the Space Walk company and called them Space Walks.
We've come a long way since then. Modern inflatables span a dizzying array of options and some of them have to be seen to be believed. There's a lot more to inflatables these days than just inflatable castles. The inflatable toy industry is seeing huge growth, which has lead to more kinds of inflatables, and increasingly creative options.
Inflatable Castles. The basic idea that started it all, inflatable castles are no longer just small "bouncy castle" designs. Modern castles come in a dizzying array of design, often with additional features like slides built in.
Inflatable Slides. Inflatable slides have become immensely popular, largely due to their large size. These inflatable slides usually have multiple sliding lanes and are some of the most stunning looking inflatables around.
inflatable Water Slides. Similar to the slides above, except they are designed to be able to get wet, and have various options to hook up your garden hose to have water running down the slide.
Inflatable Obstacle Courses. These large, elaborate inflatables usually feature a multiple lane "race track" and incorporate a slide. The running lanes have inflatable barriers that kids have to dodge around, or short tunnels that have to be crawled under.
